I decided to quit my job and embark on a cross-country journey. After I'm done with the US, I may even venture out internationally. Check here for signs that I'm still alive...
Now that the family visits/obligations are done, the adventure has begun! First trek was from Cincinnati to Niagara Falls, Canada on the way to Maine! Turns out I decided to start with something international (technically). It was rainy most of the drive, but no issues at the border! I'll visit the Falls tomorrow, so pictures to come later. I'll be meandering my way to Maine since I'll be taking a windjammer cruise starting July 5th. Since I was passing by this way anyway (sort of), I figured why not stop by Niagara Falls? Just an update for anyone that was wondering what was going on.
Starting Point: Cincinnati, OH, USA
Ending Point: Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Miles Traveled: 466.4
"There's a beauty to living life wild and free. There's just some things you've gotta' be young to see."
So for those that don't know/may not have heard, I will be leaving my job atWRTC and the NoVA area in June - June 12th for WRTCand June 18th for NoVA. It's one of those scary and exciting at the same time kind of things, and I have decided is going to be best for me. I will be venturing out on a "drive-about" across the country, and may spring out internationally after that (we'll see how much money I have left...😜 ). From there, who knows...It's been an interesting journey with NoVA andWRTC, and now it's time for a new journey! I guess as part of this, I'll start a blog and keep track of my adventures. If nothing else, it will serve as a "proof of life" to those family and friends who may be concerned about my well-being. Check back in later as I will periodically update this with my tales... For now, I'll leave you with a song that indicates how some people feel about this decision... "Someday I'm gonna' draw my own map, honey I'm gonna' nail it to the wall Chart my course, dream a lot, and save my money They're gonna' miss me when I'm gone"
