Went back to Virginia for two friends' wedding, and also visited other family and friends while there on my trek around VA. Not too many pictures, but still out there traveling - albeit mostly for work now.

Traveled to Kolkata, India for a friend's wedding. It was a multi-day affair that included a party on a boat on The Ganges. The wedding events over three days were: Bhaat and Mehndi, Sangeet (the boat party), Baan Tel, Assembly of Baraat, the wedding ceremony and reception, and Mu Dikhai. There were also experiences haggling with merchants in New Market and visiting the Birla Mandir.

Here I Go Again

Happy New Year! I thought I'd do another post about the trek west to Colorado. That's right I drove across the country again, but this time it was to move to Colorado. I stopped for a visit with my sister in Cincinnati, then drove to Kansas City, then finally to Colorado. Kansas goes on forever - I now know why Dorothy had to hop a twister to get outta' there! I did make a stop at the Oz Winery in Wamego, KS. Now I'm just waiting for the movers to arrive with my stuff...I guess the next possible post will be a trip to India in March.
