8/21-9/3/15

Hung around CO in the Denver/Colorado Springs areas visiting with friends. On 8/27 hit up Garden of the Gods and Trinity Brewing. On 8/29 visited Red Rocks and walked around Denver. Took a trip to the top of Pikes Peak on 8/30 (drove) and 8/31 (Cog Railway). It's a good thing I drove up on 8/30 because the next day it was rainy and foggy at the peak; there was even thunder and lightning. Drove up to Estes Park today (9/3) and hit up Estes Park Brewery before turning in for the night.

The woman in the middle is Elsie. She's 81 y/o and still works as a RN.

They call those rocks the Lion's Den b/c they sometimes see mountain lions sleeping there.

The little dot over the top of the mountain is a military helicopter. They go up there to do training exercises,

still a long way to go...
